WebOct 22, 2013 · I've noticed for a while the the gear stick has a lot of play in it. Forward & backward is fine & it goes into gear perfectly. Gear changes are smooth. But for some reason the stick can be wobbled side to side while in gear & it has a lot of lateral movement, similar to when it is in neutral! WebJan 31, 2014 · Undo Torx screws to remove the centre console and panels above front footwells, thin screwdriver to unclip the cables and undo four Torx bolts to remove the housing from the floor. Removal is the reverse. There is a locking pin on the lever to make sure it's centred, but I wasn't aware of one on the box.
